The One Ingredient, founded in 2012, is a woman-owned small business based in Washington, DC. This business was born from spending long days at the office in a fast-paced working environment, listening to the “Wish I could” and “Wish I had time for” of hardworking colleagues. Reality being that there isn’t enough time in the day to do everything, The One Ingredient takes care of the small things, so that you can focus on the big picture. We work as a team with our clients to identify those issues that need the most attention, so they can attend to their work and their lives.

How do we know what you really, really want? We bring to our work a broad perspective gained not only from having been graduate students, but also having worked in the non-profit, for profit and government sectors. We have all been there when the workload is so large that you experience the feeling of being crushed, don’t have time to enjoy the small things in life, and your friends no longer believe you when you say that you are “busy with work.” Do we need to mention that your apartment needs some love as well?

We listen for the small things that are missing and matter most. We go beyond the office virtual assistant who works from home and creates spreadsheets and the occasional e-mail. We are particularly proud of our work creating online dating profiles, insuring that our clients don’t miss birthdays, organizing home offices, researching restaurants for dates and anniversaries, prepping condos for sale before the agents see them. Sometimes we even let you vent to us about your office and ensure it doesn’t get back to your boss! We take care of those small things that have large impacts on our personal lives if accidently neglected.
